Clean & Simple Card Making Day 9: Texture

I think I’m pretty pleased with this card. I’m not sure if it qualifies as “clean and simple” since it has a couple of layers and a little bit of a “shabby chic” feel with the white paint applied unevenly over the texture, but I like it!

Clean and simple or shabby chic?

I used a Sizzix embossing folder to create the texture on a lavendar piece of cardstock. I applied white acrylic paint with a brayer. After it dried, I adhered a purple flower with glossy accents and then adhered the sentiment from Hero Arts. I embossed it with Recollections detail silver embossing powder. I adhered that entire layer with my tape runner to a white piece of 80-lb cardstock, cut in half vertically and scored at the top, by Canvas Corp. Happy crafting!
