Oh Happy Day Sunshine Card

Today is the last day to post our assignments for the Online Card Class, Pattern Play, so I decided to make one more card using the template from Day Four. Here’s my version of sunshine on a cloudy day:

A perfect card from Florida: Sunshine on a cloudy day.

A perfect card from Florida: Sunshine on a cloudy day.

I’m not sure if the photo does the card justice. It’s actually pretty bright with the white polka-dot base against the yellow card base. I like it. I think it will be a cheery way to brighten someone’s day.

The yellow card base is from Bazzill. The white polka-dot paper is from a 12 x 12 K&Company paper pad called Wedding. The patterned papers are from two 6 x 6 paper pads from Basic Grey, Fact and Fiction.

I created the sun using a die from Lil’ Inker Designs and two patterned papers in yellow and orange. Then I used Versamark ink and Ranger’s Sticky Embossing Powder to quickly adhere Ranger’s Distress Stickles Dry Glitter in clear rock candy without having to wait too long for the glue to dry.

The clouds are from a W-9 die. Finally, the sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp exclusive die. The finishing touch: iridescent sequins glued randomly on the white polka dots.

Please let me know what you think. Happy crafting!
