Here’s a quick post for my first Online Card Classes Summer Camp 2 assignment. This week we’re working with three sketches and need to work with at least four of the five chosen colors.
The turquoise banner was cut from Bazzill cardstock, popped up with dimensional squares. The top-folding card base is white stamped with Hero Arts Butter Bar Shadow Ink with an Impression Obsession Cover-A-Card background stamp, Medallion.
The sketch showed three circles, but I used three butterflies using my Martha Stewart butterfly punch instead. They were punched from a 6 x 6 Crate Paper Story Teller pad. I added rhinestones for a little glitter.
The sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp “happy” set. I embossed it using white embossing powder and my heat tool.
It looks pretty simple, but it took me several tries to get it right. I started out trying a solid background with a stamp banner, but I like this look better.
Please let me know what you think!
I think the background looks great. Love the butterflies, too!
Thank you, Sharon. I appreciate the compliment!
